My name is Christian Corey. I'm an artist living and working in the bucolic countryside of Bucks County Pennsylvania. I've been painting since the early 1990's, mostly oil landscapes done on location better known as painting "Plein air". If you've seen work by the french impressionists, then you've seen plein air painting. The style lends itself to quickly capturing that moment when light and shadow are just right, painting directly without glazes or laboring over minor details. I also paint larger pieces in my studio in Perkasie, PA. I've had several one-man shows, exhibited in National exhibitions and learned quite a bit of my craft from my great uncle Bernard Corey (1914-2001). I've been a member of The Philadelphia Sketch Club since 2001, a charter and advisory board member of the International Plein Air Painters and former regional editor of Plein Air Magazine. I've been featured in Bucks County Town & Country Magazine and taught classes on painting plein air.
Returning to my art after taking time off to care for family obligations, I'm now pursuing my art career with renewed enthusiasm! I welcome all discussions regarding gallery representation, commissions and private sales.
I hope you enjoy what you see and stop back to see what's been added.
Thanks for coming by,
